Another Episode of “You Ask, We Answer”

What does T.A.C.T. stand for?

T.A.C.T. is an acronym for Trauma and Casualty Team and we are a growing franchise across the nation.  T.A.C.T. was founded by veteran police officer Matthew Lovasz.  There are benefits in being part of a franchise in that the franchises regularly meet together by phone, video and in person, to keep each other educated on current community needs and trends.  In turn, we at T.A.C.T. 48 are better equipped to serve our Arizona community.

We also like to think of T.A.C.T. as a representation of what you can expect when you work with us.  So, unofficially, T.A.C.T. can also be thought of standing for Thoughtful and Compassionate Treatment.  We realize that when we are contacted its often on someone’s worse day – a death in their family, a virus scare, rodents/pests were discovered in someone’s r home or even when there is a realization that a home is becoming uninhabitable due to a hoarding issue.  No matter the reason, we strive to treat everyone they way we would want to be treated (Golden Rule has never failed anyone).

Over The Edge with

Special Olympics

“You may be wondering what rappelling down a skyscraper has to do with Special Olympics, the answer is simple. If you are a person with intellectual disabilities, you encounter adversities daily. You must have courage to try something that doesn’t come easily to you.” – Direct quote from specialolympicsarizona.org/over-the-edge.

T.A.C.T. 48 was proud to be a sponsor of one of the ropes used by the fundraisers and athletes in this year’s Over the Edge event that was held on November 18th.   Our very own owner, David Lesaffre, was one of the first to make the rappel down the 27 stories of the CityScape building in downtown Phoenix.

All Emergency Reponse FirstResponders TACT TACT-AZ TACT48 TACTFtWorth TheLastResponders

This week, we recognize the incredible public safety telecommunicators—the calm, steady voices behind every 911 call. When emergencies unfold, these professionals are often the first first responders. They gather critical information, provide life-saving instructions, and coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses—often while managing intense stress and high-stakes situations most of us never see. Their work requires compassion, precision, resilience, and unwavering dedication. They don’t wear capes, but they are absolutely heroes. To every 911 dispatcher: thank you for answering the call, guiding people through their worst moments, and helping keep our communities safe—24/7, 365 days a year. Let’s take a moment this week to recognize and appreciate those who serve behind the scenes. #PublicSafetyTelecommunicatorsWeek #911Dispatchers #FirstResponders #PublicSafety #ThankYou
