All “Cleaning” is Not the Same
Cleaning up blood and biohazard IS a big deal

It would be safe to say that nearly every person has had to deal with cleaning up a little blood at some point in their life – you had a bloody nose, your child skinned their knee, or you broke a fake nail that it took the really nail with it (been there, done that). Those minor droplets of blood are unlikely to leave enough pathogens behind to cause health issues later. But when you are talking about a blood “spill” or other amounts of bodily fluids, a simple cleaning with bleach, hydrogen peroxide and Fabulouso are simply not enough. It may appear okay, but many diseases may not be killed, and odors can appear days, weeks or even months later.
Proper remediation of the situation requires industrial level chemicals that you can’t just run out to a store and buy. The individual cleaning the areas needs appropriate training to not only know what to look for and where, but how to use the chemicals to truly remediate the area. Additionally, proper precautions should be taken for the ‘cleaner’ for their own safety including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Still thinking that you can just have an employee clean up if there is a mess on your property? Be careful, there was a federal lawsuit by inmates in York County Jail for having to clean up blood spills as part of their “responsibilities” and the inmates ultimately won. Let T.A.C.T. 48 help you now so you don’t have bigger issues down the line.
Hoarding Problem?

Share the Road
As the weather gets nicer and nicer here in Arizona, we start to break out our walking shoes, bicycles, scooters, roller blades, skateboards, etc. just so we can get back outside. T.A.C.T. 48 asks that everyone stay alert when driving to avoid any unfortunate encounters with your vehicle and a pedestrian. Sadly, we were called out for four incidents of pedestrians versus vehicles this month alone. Please stay safe.
Thank You City of Scottsdale PD
We at T.A.C.T. 48 have the privilege of getting to work with police officers on a regular basis. We were privileged to be able to contribute to a recent luncheon for the Chief of Police Command Staff thanks to the generous invitation from the Risk Management group. We look forward to a long relationship where we can assist the city in their times of need so that everyone can enjoy the city.

Arizona Fun Fact
Two of the top-rated waterfalls in the United States are located in Arizona: Grand Falls and Havasu Falls. With the snowfall we had this winter, the waterfalls should be amazing.

This week, we recognize the incredible public safety telecommunicators—the calm, steady voices behind every 911 call. When emergencies unfold, these professionals are often the first first responders. They gather critical information, provide life-saving instructions, and coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses—often while managing intense stress and high-stakes situations most of us never see. Their work requires compassion, precision, resilience, and unwavering dedication. They don’t wear capes, but they are absolutely heroes. To every 911 dispatcher: thank you for answering the call, guiding people through their worst moments, and helping keep our communities safe—24/7, 365 days a year. Let’s take a moment this week to recognize and appreciate those who serve behind the scenes. #PublicSafetyTelecommunicatorsWeek #911Dispatchers #FirstResponders #PublicSafety #ThankYou
