Special Edition:
Working With the Community All Month Long
T.A.C.T. 48 believes in walking the talk - in other words, showing that we mean what we say be actively doing it. One of our 'talks' is in helping the community. This month we were able to help through many sponsorships. Here are some highlights:
* Arizona police officers throughout the state participate with the Special Olympics in the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) every year. This month we were privileged to get to join several of these events. We were honored to get to provide
water, Gatorade, fruits, granola bars and cook up some cheeseburgers and hot dogs at two separate BBQs. Tons of applause to all the athletes that participated!
* Goodyear was kind enough to host a Reverse Vendor event. We were able to meet with 21 municipalities, schools and organizations. We explained what we do and, more importantly, why we do what we do. The reception by everyone was amazing in that everyone recognized the need for our services in some form or another for their organization.
* David and Leanne made a road trip to Lake Havasu to join the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy Associates (FBINAA) in a re-=training program with many officers from around Arizona. We also got to be in the room getting the same training with the officers that focused on thriving after struggles and maintaining your individual wellbeing.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone we got to meet and interact with this month. Only be getting to know each other can we help each other.

Arizona Fun Facts
Today’s capital city name – Phoenix – was proposed by an Englishman, Phillip Darrell Duppa, who lived the last half of his life in the Arizona Territory. He made the suggestion as the new town would spring from the ruins of a former civilization. Phoenix officially was recognized on May 4, 1868, when the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, the county of which Phoenix was then a part, formed an election precinct.
