New Laws in Arizona Taking Effect 2025

Prop 311 goes into effect in 2025 wherein death benefits fund widows and children of First Responders who are killed in a crime.  It gives the relatives a lump sum payment of $250,000 once a suspect is convicted.

Prop 312 passed which allows residents the ability to apply for a tax refund if a town has not taken care of illegal camping, loitering, public consumption or other nuisances. There would be an initial out of pocket expense of the individual and they would need to make a request for reimbursement.

SB1025 now makes the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) level for those operating a vehicle for hire or providing transportation network services (such as UBER or Lyft) to 0.04 – half the level of other drivers on the road.

Reflection on 2024

It’s that time of year where we all look back to what we accomplished and make goals for the next year.  We at T.A.C.T. 48 / AZ are so grateful that we were given the opportunity to help nearly 200 individual families in their times of need this past year along with a great number of incidents for varies municipalities such as Scottsdale, Tolleson, El Mirage, Apache Junction and Tempe, just to name a few.  As we’ve said before, we got into this business when we personally had a need ourselves.  To give back and help others in their time of need gives us a deep satisfaction and inner peace.  Looking forward to great things in 2025 and to help even more families and the community as a whole.

Need Help Clearing A Hoarding Situation?

While collecting items isn’t inherently negative—after all, we all accumulate things to function in daily life—it becomes problematic when it turns into compulsive behavior.  Cleaning out a hoarded home can be an overwhelming task, and outside help is typically necessary to make meaningful progress. As professionals, we can help evaluate which items hold true or sentimental value and decide what can be donated or discarded. Depending on the severity of the hoarding and the duration of the behavior, the cleanup process may involve not only removing clutter but also removing flooring, furniture, and mattresses to restore the home to a livable and healthy state.

All Emergency Reponse FirstResponders TACT TACT-AZ TACT48 TACTFtWorth TheLastResponders

This week, we recognize the incredible public safety telecommunicators—the calm, steady voices behind every 911 call. When emergencies unfold, these professionals are often the first first responders. They gather critical information, provide life-saving instructions, and coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses—often while managing intense stress and high-stakes situations most of us never see. Their work requires compassion, precision, resilience, and unwavering dedication. They don’t wear capes, but they are absolutely heroes. To every 911 dispatcher: thank you for answering the call, guiding people through their worst moments, and helping keep our communities safe—24/7, 365 days a year. Let’s take a moment this week to recognize and appreciate those who serve behind the scenes. #PublicSafetyTelecommunicatorsWeek #911Dispatchers #FirstResponders #PublicSafety #ThankYou
